About KWOT
KWOT 90.9 FM - Kanab Community Radio is a full power non-commercial station that broadcasts to southern Kane county (UT), northern Coconino county (AZ), and northeast Mohave county (AZ). We are the only station located in and operating from Kanab. We reach from Paria to Cedar Ridge and from Mount Carmel to Jacob Lake. We are your local station for news, weather, events, and good living.
Our Story
We applied for a new Non-Commercial Education (NCE) broadcast licence on November 9, 2021. We were granted a broadcast station construction permit on May 31, 2022. Our studio was outfitted, our transmitter site was equipped, and radio tower erected in August 2024. The FCC granted our permanent license to broadcast 24 hours a day on September 6, 2024.
Our Owner
KWOT is licensed to Cliffview Chapel Baptist Church in Kanab, Utah. But we're bigger than just one organization. We are Kanab's community radio. We are Kanab's only local radio station - all other stations you might receive are imported from somewhere else.
Our Funding

KWOT is funded mainly in three ways.

First, we receive support from our listeners - some on a monthly basis and others more sporadically. Both are deeply appreciated. This is the core of our funding. If you would like to give to KWOT, please click HERE to visit our Donate webpage.

Second, we receive support from Sponsor Underwriting. These are usually businesses and organizations that donate regularly and are acknowledged with on-air recognition.

Third, a number of faith-based organizations, including Cliffview Chapel, give to help us cover the cost of broadcasting to our community.
